A safe, comfortable place to call home is the start of the journey that leads a family to break the cycle of poverty. Sustainable housing offers the foundation for employment and education, quality family time, and healthy living conditions.
Many families in India currently live in deplorable and unsanitary conditions. We are excited to announce that a long-time donor has stepped forward with an offer to double every dollar donated, up to $190,000, to build homes for impoverished families.
Each house built in SAFP’s new Clean Energy Housing project will provide a family with a safe and secure home to live in, including sufficient living space, running water, bathroom facilities, ventilation, and low-cost clean energy sources such as solar power and bio-gas stove systems.
