Health, Hope & Hygiene Campaign
Most of us rarely appreciate the importance of having access to household toilets for our health, safety, and dignity.
In Karnataka, India, toilet
construction offers protection, especially for women and girls, eliminating the need to walk long distances in search of privacy, and the risk of encountering wild animals and other dangers. Household facilities reduce open defecation, protecting the environment and preventing life-threatening diseases that especially impact children under the age of five.
As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, our goal is to build toilets for 60 impoverished families living in the village of Cowdally, Karnataka, India. Two long-time donors from Kingston, Ontario, Canada, have graciously offered to match every dollar donated, up to $20,000, from now to October 8.
