This exclusive event on Zoom features two special guests who visited India in February 2020: Keith Tomasek is a former lecturer with the Faculty of Information and Media Studies at Western University and an award-winning publisher. Rachel Thorburn (pictured above), is a Graduate Student currently studying Child Psychology at the University of Toronto.

Join us at 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 22nd Eastern Daylight Time, and you’ll be part of the stimulating conversation as our guests share personal insights, photos and videos from their visit to the Save A Family Plan headquarters in India. During the question and answer portion of the evening, you’ll be able to participate.

Once you have signed up through the button below, you’ll receive an email from Zoom. Follow the instructions and log-in to Zoom on Thursday, October 22nd between 7:30 and 7:45pm Eastern Daylight Time.
If you haven’t already done so, you’ll need to download the Zoom Client for Meetings at this link.

The event will begin at 8:00 pm sharp and will run for 40 minutes in total. There will be questions and answers following the presentation.


What are the technical requirements?

You’ll need a computer or tablet and a good internet connection. We will use Zoom, so if you already have access to Zoom, you’re all set.

Does Zoom work on my device?

If you haven’t previously downloaded Zoom, you will need to download it prior to the event. It’s easy and free. To download Zoom, follow the steps on this link under “Zoom Client for Meetings”.

Once Zoom is downloaded, click to here to take a quick test to see whether it works.

How do I watch?

After you sign up, you will receive an email with a unique password and link. On Thursday evening, click that link and use the password.

Will there be a replay video available?

This is a live, interactive event, and there will not be a replay.

When should I join?

The virtual Zoom lobby will open 30 minutes before the event. Be sure to log on at least 15 minutes early.

What happens if I have technical difficulties during the event?

The best way to avoid technical difficulties is to join the Zoom event between 7:30pm and 7:45pm Eastern Daylight Time. If you experience technical difficulties during the show, you can email for assistance.

Can others in my household participate?

Yes! The more, the merrier. Everyone in your home is welcome to join. However, you’ll need to share one device.
